How vaults work.
Multiple keys, with you in control
Most wallets have one key. If you lose it, you lose your money. Casa Vaults protect your assets with multiple keys, so a single mistake doesn't mean losing everything.
In a 3-Key Vault, any 2 of the 3 keys sign to move funds. Once two keys have signed, the transaction is signed and ready to broadcast.
Diversification eliminates single points of failure
Store keys on multiple hardware types, distributed to different locations. Casa eliminates single points of failure, so you don't have to be perfect every time you use your assets.
A 3-Key Vault needs 2 keys to move funds, so one compromised key can't move them on its own. Your two healthy keys still can.
Flexible to suit your unique needs
Casa is designed to meet you where you're at, and your Client Advisor can help you craft the right vault to achieve your goals.

For your bitcoin and stablecoins
A Casa Vault uses multiple keys instead of one. More security, more redundancy, no single point of failure. You control the keys. Casa holds a backup key but can never move funds alone.

“I signed up for Casa with just an email: no ID, no KYC. I set up my vault on my own terms, and my keys stay mine.”
“My keys sit on devices from different vendors, in different places. No single failure can cost me my bitcoin, and I sleep better knowing that.”
“Before I change anything in my setup, I talk it through with my Advisor. Having an expert who knows my setup means I won't be the one who puts my bitcoin at risk.”

Frequently asked questions
What is a Casa vault?
A Casa Vault is a multi-signature bitcoin wallet that uses multiple keys to protect your funds. No single lost device, theft, hack, or natural disaster can compromise your bitcoin alone.
How does multisig protect my bitcoin?
Multisig (multi-signature) requires multiple keys to sign a transaction. With Casa, your wallet has multiple keys that are stored on different devices and in different locations. Since multisig requires only the majority of keys (e.g., 2-of-3 or 3-of-5), a lost key doesn't mean lost funds.
What hardware wallets work with Casa?
Casa works with most major hardware wallets: Ledger, Trezor, Coldcard, Keystone, Passport, and YubiKey. You can even mix and match devices for maximum hardware diversity to protect against firmware or supply chain attacks.
What happens if I lose one of my keys?
A lost key doesn't mean lost funds with Casa. Casa's Key Rotation feature gives you a guided process to replace a lost, damaged, or compromised key in the app. Plus, our advisory team is here to assist you through the process.
What's the difference between 3-key, 5-key, and 6-key vaults?
The 3-key vault (Standard, $250/yr) uses a 2-of-3 threshold — one hardware key, one mobile key, and one Casa Key. The 5-key vault (Premium, $2,100/yr) uses a 3-of-5 threshold with three diverse hardware keys for maximum redundancy. The 6-key vault (Private Client, $7,500/yr) provides a maximum security configuration with a dedicated advisor.
Can businesses use Casa Vaults?
Yes. Casa Vaults are the foundation of our organization plans. Organizations get multi-party signing, role-based access controls, web dashboards, and audit trails to make managing your operations a breeze. Casa Business plans start at $2,750/yr.
What if Casa goes away?
You can still access your funds. Casa's Sovereign Recovery ensures you can always recover your bitcoin using open-source bitcoin tools like Sparrow Wallet or Electrum. This is a major benefit compared to using an exchange or custodian to hold your bitcoin. With self-custody, you always have the ability to access your money.
